Anxiety as US president Donald Trump sends 376 Nigerians packing for doing this


– Over 370 Nigerians were ordered to leave the United States in 2020 after being found guilty of breaking immigration laws and other crimes

– This was revealed by the data from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

– The data showed that the majority of them were residents of Texas, New Jersey, California, New York

Nigerians numbering 376 were ordered to leave the United States in 2020 after being found guilty of breaking immigration laws and other crimes, data from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shows.

Data obtained from the ICE and compiled in a June report by a global tracking website on government policy (TRAC) revealed where these Nigerians lived.

The data showed that Nigerians who mainly resided in Texas, New Jersey, California, New York, Premium Times reports.

‘Ldtblog’gatherd that these Nigerians were served court orders to leave the US between January and June, having been convicted of immigration and criminal charges.

TRAC is a US-based tracking website that keeps databases of the country’s immigration, FBI cases and firearms data for public access.

In other news, a Nigerian man identified as Muhammad Mustapha has wowed the social media community after using local materials to construct a vehicle.

Pictures of Mustapha’s invention have been making the rounds on social media and Bioreportssighted them on Northeast Reporters Facebook page.

Mustapha, who is from Gombe state, drove the vehicle around for residents and passersby to see and appreciate his invention.

Nigerians on social media have commended Mustapha for his invention and wished the young man well.

Meanwhile,Ldtblog previously reported that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, gave hope to stranded Nigerians by paying for a charter flight to bring them back home from the United States and Canada.

The monarch and others paid for the flight scheduled for July 25.

The traditional ruler said the pandemic is a collective fight that requires support both at home and abroad.

The Ooni said: “I did not think twice when they approached me for assistance to facilitate a charter flight for them. Many have been without their families for four months or more.”
